The Scoccimarro has been in the business of ship and catering supply for nearly ninety years. Its founder, Antonio Scoccimarro, formed the first company in Port Said, Egypt, in 1921. The activity during the Fascist period was directed mainly to naval supplies for the numerous boats that passed through the Suez Canal. The company, therefore, has become, seamless, even Caterer for cruise ships and ferries and coasters, providing services to shipowners from all over the world. After being stopped due to World War II, the activity started again in 1946 with the head office moving in to Genoa, in the Old Dock. After the war the Scoccimarro S.p.A. developed additional business interests in the field of ship and catering supplies up to consolidate a vast experience in all services on board. In the nineties, after the merger with Sermar (sea and air services), another company of the family, new market segments have been incorporated: management of the shops (marine and airport) and the activity of bottle shop. Recently, the Scoccimarro & Co. S.r.l. has partnered with the French company Cofrapex, leader of distribution in France and expanding in North Africa, with the result of adding to their professional profile, now almost a secular one, the experience of an international reality.
